Visit our brand-new website to learn more about our innovative training programme here. A lot of progress has been made on the new national apprenticeship programmes that are meant to get young people into the pharmaceutical business. The important work on creating the scheme happened at the same time that the UK government celebrated apprenticeships across the country. Our scheme was named the 300th ever, and it is special in the chance it gives young people. If you are a young person from England looking for a great job in a fun field, come see us.

The pharmaceutical business is a big part of the UK economy. It makes medicines that save lives and improve people's quality of life. It has been a while since there have been enough skilled young scientists joining the field. To keep reaching its full potential, the sector needs to keep access to a highly skilled research and development, manufacturing, and technical workforce. This will help the UK stay at the forefront of the sciences and help us deal with the problem of our possible productivity gap.

Getting people trained in the industries of tomorrow is important for keeping the business sector strong. In the whole life sciences business, more than a quarter of jobs are in research and development, which require a lot of skill and pay more. We hope that this project is finding the next big names in the business.

A group of people from the pharmaceutical industry came together to create the Clinical Trials Specialists Degree Apprenticeship because they knew how big and difficult the task at hand was and because they wanted the pharmaceutical industry in the UK to do well. The long-term goal was to build a platform that would allow people from different fields to work together to provide clinical study practitioners to the business. Our consortium is made up of partners in the industry who are dedicated to making the most of the chances and benefits that come from getting young people involved in the creation of medicines in the UK.

The Clinical Trials Specialist Degree Apprenticeship (Level 6) uses the UK government's new way into technical education. It combines the best parts of college and on-the-job training over the course of four to five years while earning a BSc Hons. The Clinical Trials Specialist works for both public and private research groups, most of the time in the science or pharmaceutical fields.
