Third Frailomic consortium newsletter

December 1, 2014
 - Tim Hardman

You can now download our latest newsletter, detailing how 2014 has been a busy year for the Frailomic consortium [1]. There have been a few changes to the Frailomic team recently. Following the sad departure of Magali Gonzaléz-Colaço Harmand, who has been an amazing member of the team, Mónica Ballesteros has taken over the role of Frailomic Programme Coordinator. I am sure you will all join us in welcoming Mónica to the team. In addition, Anna Durrance-Bagale from Niche Science & Technology has replaced Severina Moreira as the Communications Project Manager.

An interesting development reported in the newsletter is how our first planned literature review, ‘Omics”-based biomarkers to predict risk of frailty and its consequences in older individuals—the Frailomic Initiative’, has been submitted to Gerontology for publication. The article. Was developed under the guidance of Niche Science & Technology’s Anna Durrance-Bagale. A brief look at the plan and the status reported in the website highlights howfar we have come [2].
