Second Frailomic consortium newsletter

January 12, 2014
 - Tim Hardman

The coming year is expected to be a very productive year for the consortium, with many project milestones being achieved. We use this newsletter to encourage collaboration and facilitate our multi-stream project endpoints for this exciting project. You can download the latest newsletter [1].

The newsletter summarises the latest consortium meeting held in November last year.  The meeting was not only about work. It was also about reinforcing old friendships and building of new relationships. This was particularly important as most of the contact between us has been by email. In this highly challenging study, it is crucial for the consortium to function as a closely knit unti if the project is to succeed. Therefore, we made the most of all the breaks available and we hope you did the same. Our Managing Director, Tim even managed to get in the pool.

The newsletter also reported in the first draft of the Frailomic Consortium’s Publications Plan that had been shared at the meeting.

The plan showcases currently identified deliverables for the study (including some opportunities for primary and secondary publications, and meeting abstracts, posters and oral communications. A brief look at the plan and the status reported in the website highlights how, over the last year we have come a long way [2].
